Ensuring Optimal Flux Solution Temperature for Superior Galvanizing Results

In a hot-dip galvanizing plant, maintaining the flux solution at 60°C to 70°C is essential for smooth operations. This temperature minimizes zinc splashes, reduces ash formation, and ensures a uniform layer on the material surface, resulting in high-quality galvanizing outcomes.

Gunatit Engineers’ Flux Heating System is an advanced, energy-efficient design that maintains optimal flux temperatures without additional energy costs.

How It Works

Our Flux Heating System uses a multi-tube stainless steel heat exchanger, mounted on the flux tank’s side. Hot water from the quench tank, heated to approximately 90°C, circulates through the heat exchanger, efficiently heating the flux solution to the required temperature range without additional energy input.

A polypropylene perforated sheet shields the heat exchanger, protecting it from potential damage.

Key Benefits
  • Energy Efficiency: Uses hot quenching water to heat the flux, avoiding extra energy costs.
  • Even Heat Distribution: Unlike conventional systems, Gunatit’s design ensures the uniform heated across the tank.
  • Reduced Zinc Splash and Ash: Maintaining the optimal flux temperature minimizes zinc splashes and ash formation.
  • Durability and Protection: The heat exchanger is protected, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Hot Water Circulating System

The Hot Water Circulating System is designed to utilize the hot quenching water from the galvanizing process to heat the flux solution. This system works by circulating the hot water through S.S.316L seamless pipes that are immersed along the sides or ends of the flux tank. The heat transfer from the circulating water heats the flux solution to temperatures of up to 50°C, depending on the production cycle and the temperature of the quenching tank.
